HEY YOU GUYS GUESS WHAT Bioshock: Infinite is out and I can finally show some of the visual development I did for the game! :D Pretty excited over here.
Figured I’d start off with my dress design process for young Liz, since her alternate outfit has been getting a lot of coverage (no pun intended) over the past couple of months. Irrational wanted a period- and age-appropriate look, so that’s what I was aiming for. I’ve got some more stuff I can share out tomorrow, but I didn’t want to overload you guys with art posts. :)

So the problem with designing characters who become popular is that, if you’re a needy bastard like me who tracks the Lutece tags when you’re bored, you’re suddenly exposed to a ton of art of said characters in various states of undress.
I’m not one to discourage this sort of thing- no no, I have sketchbooks full of Remus/Sirius stuff from high school- but I figured I might as well give everyone a leg-up with a more detailed guide to Rosalind Lutece’s potential underthings. I’ve seen a ton of drawings of her in corsets from a good 50 years before her time and I… I needed to step in.
Think of this as a primer! Not a be-all-end-all of Edwardian underthings (heck, I’m still learning this stuff), but it might teach you some new fashion terms/ideas you weren’t previously aware of! Go forth, young padawan, and draw historically-accurate Rosalind porn to your heart’s content.

I went to church with my family tonight and the pastor said something that I think every Christian should hear
- 1: Now, according to a few passages in the bible, homosexuality is a sin.
- 2: Amen!
- 1: Now, wait, I'm not finished.
- 1: You know what else the bible defines as a sin? Divorce.
- -uncomfortable silence-
- 1: There are countless passages that talk about how divorce is wrong, and that there are consequences to getting a divorce, such as the wife should be stoned.
- 1: Yet, I witnessed a divorce just this morning. And I gotta tell you, it was heartbreaking, but I definitely didn't attempt to throw rocks at the wife, even though she was the one who filed for divorce.
- 1: We choose to overlook the consequences of divorce because time has proven that they're inhumane and cruel.
- 1: The bible doesn't say anything about the consequences of a homosexual lifestyle. Yet, we seem to be spearheading a campaign to ruin the lives of people we don't even know.
- -the pastor shifts a few notes around-
- 1: The bible states to love thy neighbor. That's it. There are no other rules or restrictions to that passage.
- 1: So, we as a church family have to support equality with a smile on our face. THAT is the true Christian way.
